Winter at Cool Contours Venue: Snowdrops, Snow days and Icy Roads ❄️

It’s been a cold and crisp winter here at Cool Contours Venue and Warden Farms. The landscape has settled into a quieter rhythm, with frosty mornings and misty fields shaping the days. Despite the chill, the farm is still full of life — we’ve been spotting deer, flocks of birds feeding around the hedgerows, and plenty of other wildlife, including our Guinea Fowl who are not enjoying the snow as much as some.

Cool Contours has continued to welcome guests enjoying cosy stays in our Airbnb rooms, soaking up the peace of the countryside during the quieter season. Our venue has also hosted winter meetings and small birthday gatherings, offering a warm and welcoming space with beautiful rural views.

Winter is a time for preparation and planning across the farm. While the winter crops have begun to grow and the sheep are now munching on the stubble turnips, we’re looking ahead to the year to come, maintaining the land and getting ready for spring’s return. It’s a season of reflection, restoration, and appreciating the beauty of the countryside at its most serene.

The Snowdrops are out all around the farm and Cool Contours too - with lighter evenings it’s beginning to feel like spring already! Will there be more snow to come?
